The Vintage Sports Car Club (VSCC) makes a welcome return to Donington Park on 24 June 2018 with an event celebrating the 80th anniversary of its first stand-alone race meeting.
After a four-year absence from the Leicestershire venue, the award-winning club will stage the Formula Vintage Historic Festival, showcasing its unique brand of vintage, pre-war and historic club motorsport.
The event marks the 80th anniversary of the club's first stand-alone race meeting held at Donington Park on 23 April 1938 and coincides with MotorSport Vision's first full season managing the iconic venue.
The Formula Vintage Historic Festival will complement other MotorSport Vision (MSV) rounds of the 2018 Formula Vintage season at Oulton Park (19 May), Cadwell Park (22 July) and Snetterton (23 September).
The race card for the event will present an enthralling selection of cars taken from the Vintage Sports Car Club's own racing series, supported by a number of top class selected guest races, with the full race programme to be published in the New Year.
MSV's Motorsport Events Manager David Willey commented: "We entered discussions with the VSCC following MSV's successful acquisition of Donington Park earlier this year, and we're delighted to have agreed a deal to see the club return to the circuit with this exciting new event."
Tickets for the VSCC Formula Vintage Historic Festival at Donington Park and VSCC events at all other MSV circuits will be on sale shortly.
