Children as young as 11 can get behind the wheel for the first time at Donington Park, thanks to the arrival of MotorSport Vision's YoungDrive! programme.

The driving experience is already popular at other MSV circuits and now a fleet of brand new MINI One cars has arrived at the Leicestershire circuit so that youngsters aged 11-17 can learn the basics of motoring away from the pressures of public roads.

Learning to drive is a major milestone in a young person's life and something that most are keen to do as soon as they turn 17. Here at Donington Park, we offer the YoungDrive! programme for 11 to 17-year-olds, where they take their first lesson on the circuit and learn the basics of driving in a modern and desirable car. Participants are taught by approved instructors, learning basic clutch control and how to change gear. It's safer than learning on the road, and more exciting than driving round a shopping centre car park!

Young people can have just one or a number of lessons until they're old enough to take to the road, giving parents reassurance that they already have the necessary skills to safely drive amongst traffic.
